Submissions are open for the Autumn issue

I hope you're having a great season so far, whether you're tanning in the sun or bundled up for the chill – reading Good Internet, of course! Over the past couple of months, I've seen so many locales and folks holding their magazines as they receive them, and it just makes me elated about the personal web and its future. I hope it invigorates you as well. Thank you for being here on this journey with us.

On to the news: our Autumn issue is being worked on as we speak, and we need your stories!

You don't have to be a professional web developer or a coding savant to write about all the good things happening on this side of the web. We want to spread the word about and share thoughts, independent web projects, services, methods, sites, meet-ups, and celebrate the non-corporate web together while making it easier for us to partake and unplug from Big Tech.

In case you're new around here, Good Internet covers a lot of different aspects of the small web: unplugging from the corporate web, fighting enshittification, migrating from data-harvesting corporate social media, creating your own personal website, using code and website-building as an art form, federation, and creating websites for fun. The aim of our magazine is to be approachable for beginners and enjoyable for seasoned indie web travelers.

We are looking for 1,000- to 4,000-word articles aimed at website owners and hobbyists, digital and traditional artists, internet culture enthusiasts, technology nerds, social media expatriates, and anyone who wants to unplug from the corporate-owned web. We're also looking for art related to covered topics that we can use throughout the magazine.

You can read more information on our contact page, which includes topic ideas for submissions underneath the form. Published writers receive a free copy of the print edition if desired. Feel free to reach out with pitches or questions of potential articles.

The submission deadline is August 22, 2025.

Please share with your friends, coworkers, or anyone you might be trying to convince to create their own website! Know someone who has or do you have a project or service you want to advertise? Reach out!

From the bottom of my heart, thanks for supporting Good Internet. We can't do this without you!
